How do I change my debit card PIN?

You may change your debit card PIN by calling toll-free 800-757-9848 from the phone number on your SACU account or visiting any SACU branch location.
 

How do I request a balance transfer to my SACU credit card?

You may transfer high-rate credit card balances to your SACU credit card by completing a balance transfer request (PDF).

How does SACU deal with debit or credit card fraud?

We monitor debit and credit card activity in order to reduce the risk of fraud and protect our members. In the event of unusual card activity, SACU may block transactions in foreign countries and/or within the United States.

Even in blocked countries or within certain merchant categories, SACU members may be able to use their debit cards when conducting transaction with a PIN.

SACU members with credit cards may receive text messages and/or emails to confirm transactions if suspicious activity is suspected on their card.  We will only ask you to verify if you made the purchase(s) or not; we will never ask for account or personal information.

What do I need to know about travel and my SACU debit or credit card?

If you plan to use your card while traveling, contact our Member Service Center at (210) 258-1234 or toll free at 1-800-688-SACU (7228) before you go. Providing us with your travel dates and destinations will allow us to maximize fraud protection and minimize inconvenience.

What if my debit or credit card transaction is declined?

In the event a transaction is declined or to learn more about fraud protection, call our Member Service Center at (210) 258-1234 or toll free at 1-800-688-SACU (7228).

If you recently received a new debit or credit card, please activate it upon receipt following the instructions provided to avoid disruptions in using your card. Your old card will automatically be deactivated in approximately two weeks or as soon as you activate your new card, whichever occurs first.

SACU provides a free SACU debit card with any SACU checking or savings account.
