Debbie McCullough Makes a Difference at Ft. Sam ISD

Debbie McCullough’s special blend of compassion and determination is evident as she teaches special education for the districts accelerated learning center. She creates an innovative environment for her students.

"She makes learning more fun," one student said.

She works tirelessly to come up with strategies to help children succeed. McCullough is part of the district’s Positive Behavior Support committee. The idea is to focus on good behavior in order diminish bad behavior.

"I can’t think of anything I’d rather do. I just believe that I’m touching the future, and what greater reward can you have than making a difference in the life of a child," McCullough said.
