Aurora O. Geis Joins the SACU Lending Team

SACU announced that Aurora O. Geis has joined the credit union's management as first vice president of lending and senior credit officer.

Geis has nearly 20 years' experience in mortgage lending and housing finance, neighborhood and economic development. She previously served as director of the Fannie Mae San Antonio and Austin Community Business Center. Geis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from LeTourneau University.

Geis serves as vice chair of the CPS Energy Board of Trustees, secretary for Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and chair of the San Antonio's Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's Membership & Strategic Planning Committee. She is involved in numerous volunteer organizations including the JCIA Foundation, Mayor Phil Hardberger's Blue Ribbon Library District Commission and the Enterprise Foundation-San Antonio. She is an advisor to the Texas Association of Community Development Corporations; a member of VIA Metro's Advanced District Transportation Citizen's Advisory Committee; co-leader for the Girl Scouts, Troop 94; and a member of Oak Hills Church. She previously served as co-chair of the City of San Antonio's Community Initiatives Bond Committee and co-chair of the City of San Antonio's largest bond campaign of $500 million dollars for the city's present and future infrastructure needs.
