SACU announces that Wendi Lozada-Smith has joined its information technology team as the credit union's information security officer.

Lozada-Smith brings more than a decade of experience in working with financial institutions and information security. She served as director/manager of information security at World Savings and subsequently served as regional manager and vice president for corporate information security at Wachovia. She previously held IT positions at National Bancshares (NBC of Texas), Cott Beverages and KPMG.

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from William Jewell College near Kansas City, Missouri, and received a Masters degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She also is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
