Text Message Scam on Cell Phones
Please be aware that a text messaging scam is targeting individuals about the deactivation of cards. This is NOT from SACU and does not concern SACU cards, but it is important to us that you be aware of scams that are going around.
The message below is an example of the text message:
From: 1234
NetSpend Alert
Your card has been deactivated.
Please contact 877-498-5544 to activate your card.
Please do not respond to this text message or call the telephone number provided.
SACU assures you that we will never ask for your personal information by email or by text messaging.

NEVER give information that is private and confidential over your cell phone's text feature.

Don't call the 800 number that spam text messages ask you to call.
