TranBlocker
Blocking fraudulent debit card activity

In our global economy, debit card fraud can take place anywhere in the world! SACU uses TranBlocker, a Web-based tool that allows us to better control debit card fraud by blocking transactions where the incidence of fraud is high.

However, even in blocked countries or within certain merchant categories, SACU members are able to use their SACU debit cards in the United States or in foreign countries by conducting a PINNED transaction.

In the event your debit card is denied or for more information, please call our Member Service Center Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central Time at (210) 258-1234 or U.S. toll free at 1-800-688-SACU (7228).

TranBlocker to the rescue!
We can remove a block on your debit card if you request it, often the same day you call Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central Time at (210) 258-1234 or U. S. toll free 1-800-688-SACU (7228) or contact us by email.
Call or write a Member Service Representative in advance about your trip, regardless of the countries you plan to visit.
You do not have to submit your request in writing, but you can submit it via email if you choose.
Requests submitted by 3 p.m. can be completed the same business day. Otherwise, the request will take effect on the next business day.

Information we need:
Provide your name (as it appears on your SACU share account) and a telephone number where can you most easily be reached.
Provide the last four digits of the debit card.
      Provide specific to-and-from-dates of travel.
List the country(ies) where you will travel.
