At San Antonio Federal Credit Union (SACU), we understand that you expect member information to be treated in an appropriate and confidential manner. To that end, we maintain a strict policy on member confidentiality. Credit union employees are trained to protect member confidentiality and are expected to adhere to the following principles.
  1. We recognize that our members expect us to collect and use member information in an appropriate and responsible fashion.
  2. We collect, retain, and use information about our members when we believe that it is necessary or useful in order for us to operate our business and in order to make available products, services, and other opportunities that we believe may be of interest to our members. SACU does not otherwise supply member’s names and addresses to third parties.
  3. We strive to ensure that the information we maintain about our members is accurate, current, and complete.
  4. Information collected via Internet access to the SACU Web site may be used to improve our Web site, notify members about updates to the site, contact members for special promotions, or to keep members informed of developments in the financial industry.
  5. E-mail sent to SACU may be used by the credit union to answer questions, follow up on suggestions, or to improve the level of service we provide. E-mail is not secure and is subject to interception by unauthorized individuals. Therefore, a member may wish to communicate sensitive or personal information by postal mail.
