Kimberly Kerrison Multiplies Success with her Math Program

Kimberly Kerrison's enthusiasm for numbers makes learning math fun for her students and they have the scores to prove it! From 2005-2008 Ms. Kerrison has helped increase standardized testing scores at every campus. In 2007, all of the students in one of her 5th grade classes passed their Math TAKS test on the first try, which was a first at that school!

She is a natural leader within the math department and in the 8th grade at J.L. Matthey Middle School, where she teaches math. Ms. Kerrison goes the extra mile when it comes to helping her students. She keeps busy by tutoring for Algebra I, SAT tutoring for high school students, and even tutoring her 8th grade students during her conference period.

Her dedication shines through everything that she does and is summed up by one of her graduating students, who recently said, "You helped me believe in myself." The confidence and knowledge that Ms. Kerrison imparts to her class are lessons that will stay with them forever.
